March 10th, marks the 52nd anniversary of the 1959 Tibetan uprising. During the Dalai Lama's speech, he announced that he is going to give up his political power over Tibet. During the 1959 uprising the Dalai Lama was exiled to neighboring India and has lived there since. With the 14th Dalai Lama stepping down, his successor would most likely be a Prime Minister; in a way switching from a religious leader to a political one. This may help Tibet get more rights and ultimately help give freedom to the people of Tibet. Beijing still claims that Tibet has belonged to China since 1950, but hopefully Tibet can be given its freedom with this change of leadership.
March 19th will be the best time to see the moon in 18 years. An event called "Supermoon" will have the moon come really close to Earth, on top of that it will be a full moon as well. With this event an astrologer, named Richard Nolle, believes that the moon will inflict massive damage on the planet. Nolle and other scientists have stated that this phenomenon will effect the planet's oceans and even the planet's tectonic plates. They also state that the chance of having an earthquake is raised by less than 1%; which doesn't seen like a lot but that less than 1% could also trigger dormant volcanoes. With all this possible to happen, it still wont stop me from going out and looking at the moon.

Ah!! The zombie apocalypse is beginning!! National Geographic has recently posted an article about the discovery of a fungus, founded in Brazil by an entomologist named David Hughes, that infects an ant's brain. The fungus cuts off the brain's control over the ant's limbs, then the fungus takes control, and instructs the ant to an area where the fungus can continue to grow. And as I said, this is the beginning. Some scientist is going to cultivate this fungus and perform tests on some poor animal, causing the animal to lose control and bit the scientist to where they get infected. Then it begins to spread and bam... Zombies...
Now another story that affects your brain, but in a good way. PlayStation released a PSN exclusive titled TestYourself: Psychology. The game tests 12 different aspects of your personality. The first pack only tests two; your nervous system and your intellect. PlayStation plans to release a new pack each month which will contain the other 10 test. PlayStation stated that, "TestYourself: Psychology is a serious scientific product developed by a team of professional psychologists and counselors." And with the game only costing $2.99, it wouldn't hurt checking it out to learn more about yourself. I'll download it tonight and give a review later to let you know if its worth getting.
